OVERALL OBJECTIVE
The overall development objective of Excellence Foundation for South Sudan is enhanced ability in the target communities to tackle their own economic, social and environmental problems for sustainable community development.
To educate and empower underserved populations, particularly with regard to their rights.
To support the development of local institutions and facilitate community-based welfare and development initiatives.
To promote gender equality and provide resources and support for women and children, particularly in the areas of education and health.
To promote the full participation of local organizations in decision-making processes and ensure the sustainability of development initiatives.
To promote human resource development and training for skill enhancement and knowledge upgradation to ensure better implementation of participatory development programs.
To work for environmental protection and address issues related to water supply, sanitation, and waste management.
To provide legal assistance to juvenile victims of sexual abuse, exploitation, and trafficking.
To establish a resource center to facilitate access to information, education, and communication for target communities and local institutions.
To provide disaster prediction and mitigation services through relief and rehabilitation programs.
To facilitate access to credit and encourage small enterprise development and income generation for economic empowerment.
OUR SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
To inspire people and mobilize resources to strengthen the community.
To build socio-economic empowerment through a community-driven development approach for the realization of an improved standard of living for communities, leading to a better world where individuals are self-fulfilled and play a constructive role in society.
To improve community livelihoods and capacity for the attainment of sustainable education, food security, nutrition, and income at all levels.
To work towards the long-term goal of eradicating poverty and lifting people's capacity.
To adopt a participatory approach in all spheres of work, valuing and respecting traditional knowledge and empowering vulnerable people to become self-reliant.
To transfer field experiences into knowledge to influence the development policies and practices of NGOs, donors, and government agencies.
